A macrobiotic diet is based primarily on unprocessed whole grains, beans, fresh locally grown vegetables, and sea vegetables, complemented by miso (fermented soy), Asian condiments, and non-stimulating teas.
Here at Erewhon we are very well known for having a wide range of macrobiotic staples. In fact, in 1966, Erewhon began as a source for macrobiotic foods.Today, we carry over 30 varieties of miso, the best in seaweed, soy sauce and umeboshi plums, dulse flakes, wakame, beans, rice and grains and several macrobiotic teas and other Japanese food products.
